"I Am A Warrior, Not the Victim of Your Pain"
This project was a whirlwind of excitement for me; when I was still a design student, I got to create the official lyric video for the newest single from my favorite alternative rock band, Evans Blue!
How did this happen? It started with a lyric video I had to create for a Motion Graphics class at UNK. We chose a song and then had to animate the lyrics using Adobe After Effects. The song I chose was "Bulletproof" by Evans Blue. It was my time using After Effects, and although it was challenging to learn, I ended up really enjoying the process. After the project and class were over, I had the idea to try to share it with the band on Facebook. Mari Dew of Sounds + Sights studios contacted me about helping create the next official lyric video for their newest single, "Warrior".

I worked directly with Mari, who came up with the script. I first created a storyboard using sketches, and after we were happy with how that looked I took the project into After Effects. I had to work on the storyboard while I was on spring break to meet the deadline; I made a home made tracing board using a lamp, crate and piece of plexi-glass to bring along with me on my trip.
